We are running another Pet First Aid course!

The session will run on Wednesday the 13th July, 7.30pm, at our Market Harborough practice, and will last 1.5 to 2 hours.

This training event is free to Ash Tree Vets clients.

Ruth Bates (RVN) will be covering topics such as:

  • Saving Life
  • Reducing Pain
  • Relieving Suffering
  • Promoting Recovery
  • Hints and Tips for Minor Incidents
  • Vital Signs
  • Bleeding, Poisoning, Fitting, Road Traffic Accident (RTA), and Gastric Dilatation and Volvulus Syndrome (GDV)

Ruth BatesWhile the session focuses on pet first aid for dog owners, Ruth will be including first aid for cats and can answer questions on rabbit first aid too.

Ruth qualified at the College of Animal Welfare in 2010 as a mature student. She has seven years' experience in charity hospitals and joined Ash Tree Vets in 2015. She teaches and competes regularly in dog agility, and even competed in Crufts in 2010!
