Head Receptionist

We have an exciting opening for a head receptionist who will hold a supervisory role within the Ash Tree Team. 

Your major purpose will be to organise and co-ordinate the Practice Reception facilities and staff in order to provide a friendly, efficient and effective reception service to our clients. 

Ideally the role holder will work 4-5 days, which we anticipate to be 30-37.50 hours per week. You will work mainly from the Market Harborough practice, but will be expected to work at all sites. Your role will be split between reception cover at all sites, and administrative duties at the main office.

You will need a sound knowledge of practice policies and protocols, good client care skills, good staff management skills, competency in the use of the practice computer and word processing systems, up to date knowledge of practice services and products and a sound clinical knowledge of areas relevant to reception services.

Main Duties:   

  • To organise reception rotas, including holiday and sickness cover
  • To oversee reception staff and communicate points/concerns between the reception team and management
  • Reception staff training – in conjunction with the office, ensure all new receptionists are fully trained and all existing members of the team are kept up to date with all relevant changes, marketing incentives and new processes and protocols
  • To ensure all reception uniform and badges are kept up to date and relevant
  • Reception staff performance development reviews in conjunction with the Practice Manager 
  • Manage the team on a day-to-day basis
  • To oversee clinical paperwork, filing, storing and archiving in conjunction with the administrative team
  • To ensure medication dispenses & food orders are collected within 6 weeks of the dispense date, or put back into stock
  • To update the Reception manual – keeping all copies up to date and consistent across the branches
  • To attend regular meetings with Practice Manager
  • To organise and chair quarterly reception meetings, feeding back to the management team
  • To undertake general reception duties
  • Any other relevant duties which may be required by the practice

This position is available for an immediate start. We will be offering a competitive salary dependant on experience.

Part Time Receptionist

We are looking for an exceptional person to fill this part-time role based at our Market Harborough practice, but you must be able to cover all four of our practices.  You must be available to work a variety of shifts between the times of 8am - 7pm.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person who will need to be IT literate. The candidate must possess excellent customer service skills and be a fantastic communicator, with the ability to work under pressure in a very busy environment. Above all the candidate must genuinely enjoy engaging with people and animals.

Cover Receptionist

We are looking for an exceptional person to fill the role as a Cover Receptionist. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person who will need to be IT literate, flexible and available at short notice. The candidate must possess excellent customer service skills and be a fantastic communicator, with the ability to work under pressure in a very bust environment. Above all the candidate must genuinely enjoy engaging with people and animals.

This zero hour contract role will cover all our practices, including; Market Harborough, Kibworth, Desborough and Rothwell. You must be available to work a variety of shifts between the times of 8am - 7pm.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

We have a vacancy for a qualified veterinary nurse. If you would like to join our professional team, providing excellent clinical services and client care, then we would love to hear from you.

We offer 38 hours per week on a rota basis, working from our multi-site, small animal practice. No emergency out-of-hours on call.

General duties to include:

  • Assisting vets as requested
  • Theatre nursing, including; preparation of patients for surgery, anaesthetic monitoring, and assessing the patient pre and post- surgery
  • Taking blood samples and placing intravenous catheters
  • Laboratory tasks such as blood analysis and other diagnostics
  • Administering medications
  • Providing advice to clients
  • Handling and restraint of all species
  • Dispense of medicines as appropriate
  • Providing appropriate levels of care to all patients and alerting qualified members of the team when concerned
  • Communication to the wider team on patient status
  • Taking ownership of personal CPD requirement in line with RCVS guidelines

Locum - Registered Veterinary Nurse

Are you a Locum RVN currently looking for work in Market Harborough? Would you like to locum for a practice providing excellent clinical services and client care?

We have a vacancy for a qualified veterinary nurse to join our friendly team. The role involves shifts between the hours of 8am and 7pm with no OOHs cover required, from September 2021.

Day-to-day you will be involved in all general nursing duties, with a mix of; inpatient care, theatre, and consults.
